General Information
The Psittacasaurus Gobiensis is otherwise known as the 'Parrot Lizard'. It is thought to have lived about 110 million years ago, It was found in Mongolia during 2001 which is not too long ago. The features of this dinosaur has almost a perfect skull, strong jaw muscle and a powerful bill which has shown that it evolved structure of today’s parrot.
It is measured that Psittacasaurus Gobiensis is three foot long. Its diet is nuts and seeds. It is said that by Professor Paul Sereno, biologist from University of Chicago, “the presence of stomach stones suggest that the Psittacasaurus Gobiensis may have had a high-fiber, nut eating diet.” he said.
The Psittacasaurus Gobiensis is different from a dinosaur by its short snout being just a third length of the skull. It appears the skull its parrot-like profile.
The Psittacasaurus Gobiensis is a herbivore, an animal that only eat plants. They walk normally on their two legs but can reach the ground with their three fingered hands. They were good runners and was really successful in Asia about 100 million years ago. They were found in the middle of the Cretacous Period.
The Psittacasaurus Gobiensis is a member of Ceratopsia.

Habitat
The Psittacasaurus Gobiensis would have liven in a warmer climate and have rainfall usually where the nuts and seeds are grown in Mongolia. They need a place that has more Trees so more variety of Plants it can eat.
Adaptation
Structural Adaptation One
The Skull of the Psittacasaurus is found in the Gobi Dessert in Mongolia in 2001. It once has giant jaw that is really powerful.
Structural Adaptation Two
Similar looking of the Skull compared to the Kea
Compared to the Kea, the Psittacasaurus Gobiensis weight more and bigger, it is believed that they have similar powerful jaws. Maybe even stronger for the Psittacasaurus Gobiensis because its way of cracking open the nuts.
Behavioral Adaptation One
Herbivore
A herbivore is defined as a animal that only eat plants, also known today as vegetarian. The Psittacasaurus Gobiensis would be a Herbivore because it mainly eats nuts and seeds. Scientist has proven that the Psittacasaurus Gobiensis is a Herbivore because its gizzard stones indicate that the animal fed on nuts and seeds. It is said that it is one unique dinosaur compared to other dinosaur it only digest on seed and nuts. Extinction Pressure
Psittacasaurus Gobiensis extincted at Cretaceous Period because of the broken food chain. During Cretaceous Period, there was a reduction in solar energy reaching the Earth's surface due to atmospheric particles blocking the sunlight. Therefore, species which depended on photosynthesis declined or became extinct, including plants and algae. As the result, herbivores like Psittacasaurus Gobiensis died of lacking seeds and nuts as food sources.
